Kajabi CMS
History
Kajabi started in 2010 in California. It started as a basic builder and later expanded adding courses, coaching, communities, and blogging.
Hosted/Self-hosted
Kajabi is hosted by their servers that use Liquid code. Their base plans do not offer access to edit the Liquid files, but higher plans do offer this access for more in-depth customization.
Requirements
Because Kajabi is hosted on their platform, there are no installation requirements. Once you purchase your account, you can begin choosing a theme and designing your site in their editor.
Cost
Kajabi is definitely not an inexpensive plan. They offer 3 pricing levels starting at $119/mon (billed annually) and go up to $319/mon. Each level offers a different amount of products (courses) you can create, contacts for your list, admins, and a different level of access (like the code editor mentioned above).
User Base
Kajabi is widely used by course creators and businesses who want to run a subscription model for their courses and community. They also attract users who want an easy way to build a nice looking website without having to know how to code.
