Downloads and Release Notes

The Downloads section of the PHP.net website contains the zipped download files for the current (and previous) versions of PHP. There are links to the changelogs for each version to see what has been updated or fixed with each release. Additionally, you can download PHP logos to use and access Git download resources.

Documentation

The Documentation part of the website is the place to get the PHP manual. The manual is available for the current version as well as older versions, and comes in a variety of launguages. You can access the manual online as well as download the whole thing as a zip file. They do offer links to older versions of PHP for reference only.

Get Involved

The Get Involved page shows various ways that you can help contribute to the growth of PHP. There are options to help with testing of PHP to test its functionality and find/report bugs. You can also assist by translating documentation. They also are looking for people who can help develop the PHP language further by both maintaining and enhancing the current PHP code.

Summary

The PHP.NET site offers great PHP resources for people looking to install PHP on their sever or just to learn more about how to use the PHP language. I found the online documentation to be very interesting to look through to learn more about the different syntax of the language and how to do certain things. Its helpful that people can contribute notes and tips to the sections to show some examples of how to use the different aspects of the language. This is definitely a part of the PHP.NET site that I will be referencing as I learn more about PHP!
